The Beckman L7-75 is a high-performance ultracentrifuge designed for laboratories with uncompromising centrifugation needs and users on a tight budget. The L7 drive system is an advanced version of the Beckman drive system that revolutionized ultracentrifugation.

The Beckman L7-75 centrifuge is equipped with a frequency-controlled direct drive that provides long-term reliability by eliminating brushes. In addition, Beckman centrifuges also have gear and fluid driven pumps, as well as major maintenance and wear points for other drives. To eliminate high-speed vacuum sealing, the L7-75 ultracentrifuge uses a vacuum-encapsulated induction driver that reduces heat output to 6150 Btu/hr and noise output below 60dB.

The simplified drive design and efficient energy utilization of the Beckman L7-75 ultracentrifuge make it the fastest acceleration/deceleration in its class, as the system only takes 7.35 minutes to accelerate the 60Ti rotor and 6 minutes to decelerate.
