Microprocessor control (accuracy ±20 RPM) Accurate indoor temperature control (0-45°C, ±1 degree accuracy) Rotor unbalance and automatic maximum speed detection
The Beckman L8M is a microprocessor-controlled preparative ultracentrifuge used to generate centrifugal force to separate particles. The Beckman L8M ultracentrifuge can work with many ultracentrifuge rotors from the Beckman family, but types 15, 35 and 42.1
The Beckman L8M features an ultra-smooth variable frequency induction drive; dual program memory; dual-purpose digital display; numeric keypad with touch switches; program operation and 10 deceleration profiles.
Digital display showing vacuum level, rotor speed, rotor temperature, remaining run time or run time, cumulative centrifugal effect (ω2t). The actual operation of the instrument will be displayed unless the system is in input mode, or the display switch leaves display mode. In this example, the value selected for the run is displayed for 5 seconds.
A general feature of the Beckman L8-70M and L8M series is the touch switch operation with light finger pressure. When each switch is activated, a beep and a green LED indicator light signal. The LEDs also signal when the instrument reaches the setpoint during operation.
The Beckman L8-70M ultracentrifuge has 3 operating modes, manual, automatic and program-controlled. In manual mode, the L8-70M will run all individual run conditions specified by the user before starting the run. In automatic mode, runs can be repeated in sequence without having to re-enter any run parameters. In the programmed operation of the Beckman L8M, precise repeat operations can be performed at any time. Program operation uses Beckman L8M Series Memory-Pac™ memory modules.
