Glypicans (GPC) are a family of heparan sulfate proteoglycans that are attached to the cell surface by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor. Six members of this family have been identified in mammals (GPC1-GPC6). Glypican 3 is a potential therapeutic target for treating liver cancer and other cancers, and several therapeutic anti-GPC3 antibodies have been developed.

Source: Recombinant Biotinylated Human GPC3/Glypican 3 Protein is expressed from HEK293 Cells with His tag and Avi tag at the C-terminal. It contains Gln25-His559.
Molecular Weight: The protein has a predicted MW of 63.6 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 42 kDa, 80-135 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.
Purity: > 90% as determined by Tris-Bis PAGE
Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Formulation: Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.
Reconstitution: Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL` is recommended (usually we use 1 mg/mL solution for lyophilization). Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
