Benchmark hotplates and hotplate-stirrers are designed with space-saving footprint, ideal for use on crowded benchtops and inside biological hoods. A 6.5 x 6.5 in. work surface is made of white ceramic that is very durable and chemical resistant. The device has an advanced microprocessor control which allows quick, precise adjustment of speed and temperature. The large, backlit LCD display shows constant visualization of the speed and temperature, and a safety LED indicates when the top plate is above 50°C. For applications that require precise temperature contol, an optional probe is available to provide direct feedback to the microprocessor, which continuously adjusts and maintains the selected temperature in the sample within /- 0.5°C.
