The Explosion-Proof Fan Filter Unit 6601-24-UESS manufactured by Terra Universal provides a steady laminar flow stream of ULPA filtered air to the area below the mounted unit.
FDA-approved silicone sealant has good sealing, high safety and durability.
Ultra-Low Particulate Air (ULPA) Filter: 99.999% efficient at 0.12µm particle diameter. Assembly was not completed at the time of shipment to prevent damage.
All wiring is securely embedded in packed rigid conduits to meet class I/II requirements.
Motor: 1 Speed direct-drive, 0.25HP, 1140 RPM, fan-cooled.
All wiring of the explosion-proof system shall be done on site by a licensed electrician according to local regulations to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the explosion-proof protection.

MERV 7 pre-filter which is 30% ASHRAE rated helps to extend the service life of ULPA filter.

Diffuser Panel Promotes Air Flow Uniformity and Protects Filter Integrity: Unlike other manufacturers, Terra's FFUs use a unique perforated panel like a shower head beneath the filter, to protect the filter and make laminar air flow more uniform by preventing localized air swirling, particle build-up and turbulence.

Gel-Filled Channel on Room-Side Replaceable Filter: Gel-filled channel on room-side replaceable filter creates a closed passageway, so it allows the filter to be changed easily, safely and quickly during the operation of the fan filter unit.
Explosion-Proof Power Switches: UL-rated explosion-proof switches are connected to the circuit by special conduit. All electrical components are sealed to eliminate potential combustion hazards.
Explosion-Proof Potted Fittings: Conduit is filled with an expanded cement mixture to isolate the explosion-proof components from potential ignition sources; explosion-proof fittings meet requirements of NEC for Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations.
Pre-Filter Grounding Clip: A grounding wire connects the body of the explosion-proof FFU to a wire frame embedded in the prefilter to prevent sparks.
