The FL500 is designed for driving low-power laser diodes where require low noise. The low leakage current (150 µA) makes it suitable for driving most VCSELs. It has an operating voltage of 3 to 12 V and is therefore compatible with Li+ battery operation. It can be configured as two completely independent 250 mA drives or one 500 mA drive. Compatible with Type A or Type B laser diodes. Due to its small size and low noise, it is often used in handheld devices and spectroscopy systems.
