FR Microfiltration Membranes, Synder Filtration (CAT#: STEM-GMAE-3081-LGZ)

Highlights

1. The microfiltration membrane has the largest open pore size among all polymer membranes. Microfiltration membranes, with pore sizes ranging from 0.1 to 10 μm, are capable of separating large suspended solids such as colloids, particulates, fats, and bacteria, while allowing sugars, proteins, salts, and low-molecular-weight molecules to pass through the membrane. MF membranes have an asymmetric pore structure with tighter surface pores to control rejection and more open macropores on the membrane cross-section to optimize flux.
2. Synder Filtration currently offers three types of polymer microfiltration membrane filters, all of which maintain good resistance to pH, temperature and fouling tendencies. They are also commonly used as pretreatment steps for feed stream applications. These PVDF microfiltration membrane filters are manufactured to maintain excellent chemical and thermal resistance, and are available in spiral wound and flat sheet configurations, enabling more flexible customization around specific process applications.
3. Synder's sanitary microfiltration membranes also meet FDA standards listed in CFR Title 21,3-a Sanitary Standard No. 45-02, as well as USDA Sanitary Standards for industrial applications in a variety of sanitation and a wide range of industries.
