FumeGard NU-162 Conventional Fume Hood, NuAire (CAT#: STEM-LE-0714-LC)

FumeGard NU-162 is mainly made of stress-relieving polypropylene to which NuAire added antioxidants and UV stabilizers. This increases the tensile strength and improves the thermal characteristics. NU-162 has an entire airfoil at the bottom of the working channel opening. As the sash decreases, the face velocity will increase rapidly. Smoke, gas, vapor, aerosols and particulate matter are drawn through the vent holes by the external exhaust pipe. The "double-layer" structure constitutes a pipeline chase for routing and connecting all services. The compartment is under negative pressure to minimize smoke accumulation.
