G-trap™ Protein G is pre-packaged and ready-to-use column format for affinity purification of IgG. The columnar structure is filled with a resin that is covalently coupled to recombinant protein G.
Recombinant protein G is covalently coupled to highly cross-linked 6% agarose via a proprietary conjugation method. The employed coupling chemistry has a high coupling efficiency and a low protein G leaching rate, and thus a high binding efficiency. Recombinant protein G produced in E. coli has been engineered to genetically remove the albumin and cell surface binding regions of the protein.
G-Trap™ rProtein A FF, 1 ml and G-Trap™ rProtein A FF, 5 ml can also be used for affinity purification of immunoglobulins.
