Gait Analysis System, model STEM-LEAR-0705-YJL is manufactured by Yuyan Instrument Co., Ltd.
The Animal Gait Analysis System is a complete tool for quantitative assessment of animal steps and gait in murine models. The core component of the gait analysis system is the walking platform, which allows mice to walk from one end to the other. The system uses footprint light refraction technology to capture real footprints through a high-speed camera placed under the walking platform. The technology is also able to detect differences in foot pressure, which is the result of the animal's weight being distributed differently across its four paws as it walks.
Unlike other gait analysis methods, this system does not require any external markers, nor does it require trimming toenails or dipping paws in ink, nor does it require bright and sufficient light.
