Description

The Leica RM2155 is a reliable rotary microtome designed for fully motorized sectioning of paraffin and resin-embedded specimens. Offering a wide range of applications in tissue laboratories, the RM2155 also has applications in industrial materials and quality control. The 2-in-1 design concept of the Leica microtome allows motorized as well as manual sectioning and provides reproducible quality sectioning.

RM2155 sectioning speed can be adjusted to cut hard materials and paraffin-embedded specimens in high throughput without affecting sectioning quality. This microscope is designed for those users whose laboratory needs require a fully motorized/electron microscope, making it the ideal instrument for basic sectioning of standard and non-standard materials.

The fully electric Leica RM2155 microtome cuts sections from 0.5 to 60 microns and features an automatic motorized coarse feed as well as speed control with an adjustable handwheel and selectable cutting modes. The knife holder is equipped with a new splint to ensure users accurate and irregular slices.

The Leica RM2155 system comes complete with a waste tray, specimen holder, instruction manual, an optional foot pedal and disposable knife holder that can be set for high or low profile blades.
