Prism™ and Prism R Refrigerated Microcentrifuge, Up to 24 2.0 ml Tubes, Labnet International (CAT#: STEM-LE-0153-LC)

Labnet Prism™ and Prism™R quickly became the benchmark for the refrigerated microcentrifuge category. Although Prism R has a very small footprint, it has a powerful brushless motor and cooling capacity. The new user-friendly LCD control panel is intuitive for user to control all operating parameters, including speed, time and temperature. Press and hold the quick key to activate the instantaneous rotation function. The powerful refrigeration system keeps the temperature as low as -10°C, and is designed to reach 4°C (from room temperature) in less than 8 minutes. The brushless motor driver can quickly and easily accelerate the rotor to the set speed. The isolation system designed by the computer ensures vibration-free operation, even if there is a slight imbalance. Prism R features an imbalance detection system. If a serious imbalance occurs, the system will automatically shut down. The deceleration time at the end of the run is less than 18 seconds, but it will not damage the sample. The unique design of the 24-position rotor allows easy access to the top of the sample tube. The rotor can directly hold 1.5/2.0ml test tubes and accept smaller test tubes by using an adapter (sold separately). The optional StripSpin adapter is stuck on the top of the rotor for rotating 0.2ml test tubes and PCR strips. The rotor is located on the tapered shaft, making it easy to disassemble the rotor for cleaning and autoclaving.
