Description

The Recombinant Human HGF Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for stimulating cell growth, proliferation, and tissue repair.
HGF (Hepatocyte Growth Factor) is a dimer consisting of α and β subunits. It serves as a mitogen for mature hepatocytes and functions as a growth factor for various tissues and cells. HGF activates its tyrosine kinase receptor ligand by binding to the receptor and promoting its dimerization. After various liver injuries, such as hepatitis, ischemia, or partial hepatectomy, both HGF mRNA and HGF activity significantly increase in the rat liver. HGF is produced in Kupffer cells and sinusoidal endothelial cells in the liver but not in the hepatic parenchymal cells. Even in intact lungs, kidneys, and spleens, HGF mRNA significantly increases after liver injury. Additionally, HGF stimulates the regeneration of various epithelial cells and can inhibit the growth of certain tumor cells. HGF likely plays a critical role in organ development, morphogenesis, carcinogenesis, and organ regeneration.
The lyophilized product can be stored at 2-8°C for 24 months. For reconstitution, it can be dissolved in injectable water, saline solution, culture medium, or PBS. After dissolution, it should be aliquoted, with a recommended storage period of 6 months at -20°C and 12 months at -80°C. When diluting, ensure a final concentration of no less than 100μg/mL and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
