Small Animal In Vivo Imaging (CAT#: STEM-PET-0014-WXH)

Introduction

Novel techniques for imaging biological processes in live animals is changing how cellular activity, effects of drugs, and disease progression are monitored. Small animal live imaging is to use bioluminescence (luciferase gene labeled cells or DNA) or fluorescent markers (green fluorescent protein, red fluorescent protein, etc.) for labeling when the organism is in a normal physiological live state.
Combined with a high quantum efficiency CCD, small animals are imaged and analyzed to observe molecular and cellular changes in the labeled animal, which can truly simulate the biological change process in the physiological and pathological state.

Applications

• Labeled cells: cancer and anticancer drug research, immunology and stem cell research, apoptosis
• Labeled viruses: viral infection, gene therapy
• Labeling bacteria: bacterial infection studies, antibiotic drugs
• Gene Expression and Protein Interactions

Procedure

1. Cell labeling: label the cells to be studied with luciferase or fluorescent protein
2. In vitro pre-test
3. Inoculation of labeled cells
4. In vivo imaging
