The Sorvall RC-5C ultracentrifuge offers a unique combination of advanced features that enhance centrifugation performance. Without the use of a vacuum system, the RC-5C can operate at maximum speed with centrifugal forces up to 51,427 x g and can reach 21,000 rpm. The total capacity of this high-performance centrifuge is 4 liters.

Featuring a microprocessor control system, the Sorvall RC-5C centrifuge guarantees very fast and reliable separations. Temperature calculations are done automatically and operating parameters are displayed on an advanced LED display. The RC-5C is also equipped with RCF mode functions for G-force calculations, and omega squared dt calculations for run-to-run reproducibility.

Additional features of the Sorvall RC-5C ultracentrifuge include automatic rate control settings for density gradient work, interlocking doors to prevent the centrifuge door from opening during acceleration, and user-adjustable speed, time and temperature settings.
