Description

Sulfhydryl Coupling Resin, or iodoacetyl resin, is designed for simple and efficient coupling of peptides and proteins to solid 6% agarose supports via free sulfhydryl groups (-SH). The iodoacetyl groups of the thiol-coupled resin react with free thiols to form covalent, permanent thioether linkages. Long spacer arms reduce steric hindrance, ensuring greater binding of protein and antibody during affinity purification. Affinity columns are also generated in kit format by immobilizing proteins onto 2ml spin columns.
