Angiopoietin-like proteins (ANGPTLs) are a recently discovered secretory glycoprotein family that share homology with ANG and play a role in regulating angiogenesis. Currently, it has been found that there are 8 members of the ANGPTLs family (ANGPTL1-8), and ANGPTL2, 3, and 4 affect the generation of arteriosclerosis mainly by regulating glucose and lipid metabolism and affecting angiogenesis.
