Analysis of BDNF (Human) by MSD Hypersensitive Multi-Factor Electrochemiluminescence Analyzer (CAT#: STEM-MB-0058-LGZ)

Introduction

Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) is a protein with neurotrophic effects first discovered in the pig brain by Barde et al. in 1982. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor and its receptors are widely expressed in the nervous system. BDNF is distributed in a wide range of areas such as the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, endocrine system, bone and cartilage tissue, but is mainly expressed in the central nervous system, with the highest content in the hippocampus and cortex.
