Analysis of CCL27 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-2049-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: C-C motif chemokine ligand 27
Also known as: ALP; ILC; CTAK; CTACK; PESKY; ESKINE; SCYA27
This gene is one of several CC cytokine genes clustered on the p-arm of chromosome 9. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunomodulatory and inflammatory processes. CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The protein encoded by this gene has chemotactic effect on skin-associated memory T lymphocytes. This cytokine may also play a role in mediating the homing of lymphocytes to skin sites. It specifically binds chemokine receptor 10 (CCR10). Studies of similar mouse proteins revealed that these protein-receptor interactions play a key role in T cell-mediated skin inflammation.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
