Analysis of COPS8 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-1544-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: COP9 signalosome subunit 8
Also known as: COP9; CSN8; SGN8
The protein encoded by this gene is one of the eight subunits of the COP9 signal body, which is a highly conserved protein complex and plays an important regulatory role in various signaling pathways. The COP9 signalosome is structurally and functionally similar to the 19S regulatory granule of the 26S proteasome. The COP9 signalosome has been shown to interact with and act as a positive regulator of SCF-type E3 ubiquitin ligases. Alternative splicing transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been observed.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
