Analysis of IL19 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-1070-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: interleukin 19
Also known as: MDA1; NG.1; ZMDA1; IL-10C
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily. This cytokine was found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes. It can bind the IL-20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). A similar cytokine has been reported to upregulate IL-6 and TNF-α expression and induce apoptosis in mice, suggesting a role for this cytokine in the inflammatory response. Alternative splicing transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
