Introduction

Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) can combine with collagen fibers and platelets at the same time. When a blood vessel ruptures, a large number of platelets use VWF as an intermediary to adhere to collagen fibers to form a thrombus to stop bleeding. It is closely related to a series of cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, acute coronary syndrome, and atrial fibrillation.
