Analysis of YKL-40 (Human) by MSD Hypersensitive Multi-Factor Electrochemiluminescence Analyzer (CAT#: STEM-MB-0634-LGZ)

Introduction

YKL-40, also known as chitinase-3-like protein 1 (CHI3L1), is a secreted glycoprotein encoded by the CHI3L1 gene. Unlike other members of the chitinase-like protein family, YKL-40 is not an active chitinase. It is produced by activated macrophages, chondrocytes, neutrophils and synoviocytes. It is a pro-inflammatory molecule that contributes to the exacerbation of many inflammatory diseases, including fibrosis, neurodegenerative diseases, breast, lung, prostate, liver, bladder, colon and other types of cancer.

Principle

Detection Technique: MSD Hypersensitive Multi-Factor Electrochemiluminescence
Capture Antibody: Mouse Monoclonal
Detection Antibody: Goat Polyclonal
