The Beckman L8-80M is an advanced ultracentrifuge designed to simplify and automate operations. The L8-80M system is equipped with many features that will meet the needs of high volume laboratories and facilities.

Featuring rotor imbalance detection, the Beckman L8-80M ultracentrifuge can run over 40 different rotors, perform up to 80,000 revolutions, and achieve up to 602,000 grams. This Beckman centrifuge also features a microprocessor-based centrifuge configuration (9 acceleration and 10 deceleration), a memory pac to store precise repeat programs, and a quiet, vacuum-encapsulated induction for reliable operation.

The L8-80M computer provides automatic calculations via an RS-232 computer interface for control and recording. In addition to these, the computer provides precise digital timing operation, photoelectric rotor overspeed detection and protection, optional infrared temperature control, and zoned door opening operation.

Common rotors for the Beckman L8-80M centrifuge include: 50.2Ti at 462mL, 80Ti at 108mL, and 70.1Ti at 162mL. Additional options are available for all fixed and swing barrel applications.
