LFA 457® is the most modern product used to determine two thermophysical properties (thermal diffusivity and electrical conductivity) in the range of -125°C to 1100°C. Its compact, vacuum-tight structure, autosampler and functional software ensure the highest efficiency of extremely challenging material testing. NETZSCH LFA 457® complies with the latest technology of modern laser flash systems. The benchtop instrument allows measurement using two different user-replaceable furnaces in the range of -125°C to 1100°C. The system uses innovative infrared sensor technology to measure the temperature rise on the back of the sample even at -125°C. The instrument can be used for samples up to 25.4 mm in diameter. With the integrated autosampler, multiple samples can be measured simultaneously. The vacuum seal design can be tested under the specified atmosphere. The vertical arrangement of the sample holder, furnace and detector simplifies the placement of the sample, while ensuring the best signal-to-noise ratio of the detector signal. LFA 457® is the latest and most versatile LFA system for the development and all applications of standard and high-performance material characterization in the fields of automotive manufacturing, aviation, aerospace and energy technology.
