PERSEUS® STA449® is an unparalleled alliance between two successful instruments: NETZSCH STA 449® and Bruker Optics' FT-IR spectrometer. Its design is unprecedented and sets the benchmark for the most advanced coupled systems. Due to its ruggedness, high performance, compactness and attractive price, this combination instrument may be applied to any laboratory, whether in universities or industry, covering the entire range from inorganics to polymers. Any existing NETZSCH STA 449® system can be upgraded to PERSEUS>®. The unparalleled instrument alliance can be used as an innovative coupling technology, even if the budget is limited. It has the necessary components to become an integral part of any laboratory and meet its future needs. The DLaTGS (DLaTGS = deuterated L-alanine doped triglycine sulfate) detector used does not require any liquid nitrogen cooling. Therefore, the system is particularly suitable for using an autosampler (ASC) for test runs or longer time measurements. The built-in heating gas chamber is directly connected to the gas outlet of the furnace through a heating pipe. The small volume of this short gas path ensures fast response and is very advantageous in the presence of condensable outgassing. No separate FT-IR spectrometer is required, and the footprint of the PERSEUS® STA449® coupler is the same as that of STA, using 449® alone. This makes the coupling system ideal for laboratories with limited space.
