The Recombinant Murine TPO Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for stimulating megakaryocyte and platelet production. TPO, or Thrombopoietin, is a lineage-specific growth factor produced in the liver, kidneys, and skeletal muscles. It stimulates the proliferation and maturation of megakaryocytes, promoting an increase in the circulating platelet levels in the body. TPO signals through the c-mpl receptor and serves as a crucial regulator of circulating platelets. Both human and mouse TPO exhibit cross-species reactivity. The lyophilized formulation can be stored at 2-8°C for 24 months. If further dilution is required, it can be reconstituted with injection-grade water, physiological saline, culture medium, or PBS. Once reconstituted, it should be aliquoted, and the aliquots should be stored at -20°C for 6 months or at -80°C for 12 months, with a post-dilution concentration not less than 100 μg/mL, while avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
