Analysis of CEP350 Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-0237-LGZ)

Introduction

Also known as: GM133; CAP350
The product of this gene is a large protein with a CAP-Gly domain, usually found in cytoskeleton-associated proteins. The encoded protein is mainly localized in the centrosome, which is the main microtubule organizing center in animal cells and is a non-membrane organelle. The encoded protein directly interacts with another large centrosomal protein and is required to anchor microtubules at the centrosome. It is also related to the regulation of a class of nuclear hormone receptors in the nucleus. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified, but their full-length nature has not been determined.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
