Analysis of CRNN Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-0875-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: cornulin
Also known as: DRC1; PDRC1; SEP53; C1orf10
This gene encodes a member of the "fused gene" protein family, containing an N-terminal EF-hand domain and multiple tandem peptide repeats. The encoded protein contains two EF-hand Ca2+ binding domains at its N-terminus and two 60-amino acid repeat sequences rich in glutamine and threonine at its C-terminus. This gene, also known as squamous epithelial heat shock protein 53, may play a role in mucosal/epithelial immune responses and epidermal differentiation.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
