Analysis of EBV by Real-Time PCR Method (CAT#: STEM-MB-2554-LGZ)

Introduction

Epstein-barr virus (EBV) belongs to the herpesidae family, is a specific human lymphocytic herpesvirus, infecting B lymphocytes and T cells. It is transmitted in the population mainly through oral transmission. In infants and young children, it usually causes asymptomatic infection, while adolescents or adults infected with EBV usually cause self-limiting lymphoproliferative diseases.

Principle

Specific primers and probes were designed for highly conserved regions of the hand EBV. PCR reactions were performed and fluorescence signals were released when the EBV genomic template was included in the reaction system. The fluorescence quantitative PCR instrument was used to monitor and output the corresponding channel signals during the PCR process in real time.

Applications

It is suitable for qualitative detection of Epstein-Barr virus without virus typing. It can be used for auxiliary diagnosis of EBV infection, but not for diagnosis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum, plasma, tissue
