Cardiovascular markers refer to markers that can be sideloged in circulating blood and can sensitively and specifically reflect myocardial injury (abnormal) and its severity. Cardiovascular markers, which normally exist mainly or only in the heart (myocardium) and are released by the heart in large quantities in the case of cardiac or cardiovascular abnormalities, can be used for screening, diagnosis, prognosis assessment and follow-up treatment of a series of circulatory diseases involving the heart, blood vessels (arteries, veins, and microvessels). The markers of cardiac function include type A natriuretic peptide (ANP), type B natriuretic peptide (BNP) and its corresponding non-bioactive complex component (NT-proANP, NT-proBNP).
