Principle

Pyruvic Acid reacts with color developing agent, the reaction product is reddish brown in alkaline solution, the shade of color is proportional to the content of pyruvic acid, the content of pyruvic acid can be calculated by colorimeter.

Applications

Suitable for detection of pyruvic acid in serum (plasma), animal and plant tissues.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.
