Her3 (Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 3) belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, the tyrosine protein kinase family, and the EGF receptor subfamily. This membrane-bound glycoprotein has a neuregulin-binding domain but no active kinase domain. It does not mediate intracellular signal transduction through protein phosphorylation but can form heterodimers with ErbB2 or other EGFR members responsible for tyrosine phosphorylation. This leads to the generation of receptor complexes and initiation of pathways that can result in cell proliferation or differentiation.

Source: Recombinant Human HER3 Protein is expressed from HEK293 Cells with His tag at the C-terminal. It contains Ser20-Thr643.
