The Recombinant Human MCP-1 (CCL2) Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for studying chemotaxis and inflammation in immune responses. MCP (Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein) proteins are members of the CC chemokine family and signal through CCR2 and other CCR receptors, except for MCP-1. MCP proteins are chemoattractants and can activate monocytes, activated T cells, eosinophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. The MCP family exhibits cross-species reactivity. Recombinant human MCP-1 is an 8.6 kDa protein consisting of 76 amino acid residues, including 4 highly conserved cysteine residues commonly found in CC chemokines. The lyophilized formulation can be stored at 4°C for 24 months. Once reconstituted, the liquid can be stored at -20°C for 6-12 months, while avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
