Analysis of Cysteine (Cys) by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1407-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.03 mmol/L
Detection range: 0.07-2.0 mmol/L
Precision: inter-lot difference of 1.3%, intra-lot difference of 1.1%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 600-620 nm

Principle

Phosphotungstic acid is reduced by cysteine to produce tungsten blue, which has an absorption peak at 600 nm. The content of cysteine can be calculated by measuring the absorbance value at 600 nm.

Applications

It is suitable for the determination of cysteine content in serum (plasma), animal tissue and cultured cells.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum, plasma, animal tissue and cultured cells
