Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) mainly refers to malondialdehyde, pink compounds that can react with TBA under high temperature and acidic conditions. The concentration of TBARS has a linear relationship with the concentration of Tbars in samples. The concentration of TBARS can be calculated indirectly by measuring OD values at 530-540 nm.
Applications
It is suitable for the determination of TBARS in serum (plasma), animal tissue and other samples.
Procedure
1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples. 2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction. 3. Measure the absorbance of each tube. 4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.
Materials
• Sample Type: serum (plasma), animal tissue and other samples
