Introduction

Endothelial cells, also known as vascular endothelial cells, generally refer to the single layer of squamous epithelium that lines the inner surface of the heart, blood vessels, and lymphatic vessels and forms the lining of blood vessels. They have the functions of phagocytosis of foreign bodies, bacteria, necrosis and aging tissues, and also participate in the immune activity of the body.
