Conventional staining or HE (Haematoxylin and eosin) staining is the most commonly used method in pathological techniques, through which pathological diagnosis can be made and other auxiliary methods can be found to achieve accurate and complete pathological diagnosis.
All pathological sections must be stained with a variety of dyes to display various substances in the section under an optical microscope. For example, HE staining, good-quality sections can clearly show many different structures, the nucleus is blue-black, the cytoplasm is pink, and the cartilage is blue. The clear structure provides a reliable basis for diagnosis. Therefore, staining technique is also an important part of pathological technique. The quality of staining results is directly related to the accuracy of diagnosis.
