Pain is a complex neuropathological and subjective symptom with various causes. In recent years, in the field of pain and analgesia research, attention has been paid to the establishment of experimental models simulating acute, chronic or persistent pain in clinical patients. There are various methods for establishing pain models, generally, there are chemical stimulation models, physical stimulation models, neurogenic injury models, visceral traction pain models and other models. However, it is quite difficult for one model to reflect the pain caused by multiple etiologies at the same time. Experimenters need to select or establish a practical pain model for the purpose of the research.
