Description

The Recombinant Human 4-1BB Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for T-cell co-stimulation and immune responses.
4-1BB, also known as CD137, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily 9 (TNFRSF9) induced by lymphocyte activation (ILA). It is a co-stimulatory molecule of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. CD137 can be expressed by activated T cells, with a higher expression level on CD8+ T cells than CD4+ T cells. Additionally, CD137 expression has been observed in dendritic cells at inflammatory sites, follicular dendritic cells, natural killer cells, granulocytes, and vascular endothelial cells.
One of the most characteristic activities of CD137 is its co-stimulatory activity on activated T cells. Cross-linking CD137 can enhance T cell proliferation, IL-2 secretion, cell survival, and cytolytic activity. Moreover, it can boost immune responses and eliminate tumors in mice. CD137, in the presence of the TCR/CD3 complex, can enhance activation-induced T cell apoptosis. Furthermore, the 4-1BB/4-1BBL co-stimulatory pathway has been shown to enhance secondary CTL responses against various viruses and strengthen anti-tumor immunity. Therefore, 4-1BB is a promising candidate for human cancer immunotherapy. CD137 has been demonstrated to interact with TRAF2.
The lyophilized product can be stored at 4°C for 24 months. The reconstituted liquid can be stored at -20°C for 6-12 months, and it should be protected from repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
