Analysis of Free Fatty Acids (NEFA/FFA) by Fluorescence Microplate Reader (CAT#: STEM-MB-1506-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.58 μM
Detection range: 0.58-20 μM
Precision: inter-lot difference of 5.3%, intra-lot difference of 4.2%
Detection equipment: Fluorescence Microplate Reader
Excitation wavelength: 535 nm
Emission wavelength: 590 nm

Principle

Free fatty acids are produced by acyl synthetase to form acyl coA, which is produced by the oxidation of acyl oxidase to form hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide reacts in the presence of enzyme and probe, and the fluorescence intensity of the produced fluorescent substance at the excitation wavelength of 535 nm and the emission wavelength of 590 nm is proportional to the concentration of free fatty acids.

Applications

Used to detect the content of free fatty acids in serum, plasma and animal tissue samples.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Determination of fluorescence intensity.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum, plasma and animal tissue samples
