Analysis of HNRNPU Gene (Mutation) by RT-qPCR (CAT#: STEM-MT-1043-LGZ)

Introduction

Official Full Name: heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein U
Also known as: SAFA; DEE54; HNRPU; SAF-A; U21.1; pp120; EIEE54; GRIP120; hnRNP U; HNRNPU-AS1
This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that bind nucleic acids and function in the formation of ribonucleoprotein complexes with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) in the nucleus. The encoded protein has affinity for both RNA and DNA, and binds scaffold attachment region (SAR) DNA. Mutations in this gene are associated with epileptic encephalopathy, early infancy, 54. A pseudogene of this gene has been found on chromosome 14.

Principle

Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) is an experimental method applied to PCR experiments using RNA as the starting material. In this method, total or messenger RNA (mRNA) is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase. Subsequently, qPCR reaction was performed using cDNA as template.

Applications

Gene mutation analysis.

Procedure

1. Sample processing and preparation of PCR reaction system.
2. Add the amplification template, cover the PCR reaction cover, mix well, centrifuge at low speed instantaneously, and transfer to the PCR instrument.
3. Set the program for PCR amplification.
4. Data analysis.
