Analysis of Phosphorus (Pi) by Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometer (CAT#: STEM-MB-1350-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.005 mmol/L
Detection range: 0.005-2.0 mmol/L
Precision: inter-lot difference of 1.3%, intra-lot difference of 1%
Detection equipment: Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometer
Detection wavelength: 660 nm

Principle

Inorganic phosphorus reacts with molybdic acid to form phosphomolybdic acid. Under the action of reducing agent, phosphomolybdic acid is reduced to molybdenum blue. It has the maximum absorption peak at 660 nm, and the absorbance value is proportional to the concentration within a certain range.

Applications

Used to detect the content of phosphorus in serum, plasma and tissue samples.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum, plasma and tissue samples
