Analysis of PlGF (Human) by MSD Hypersensitive Multi-Factor Electrochemiluminescence Analyzer (CAT#: STEM-MB-0495-LGZ)

Introduction

Placental growth factor Placental growth factor, PlGF is a heparin-binding acidic protein, which can be synthesized and secreted by a variety of mesenchymal cells in the body, and secreted in the form of an inactive precursor. Its base sequence has high homology with VEGF gene, belongs to the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family, is abundantly expressed in the placenta, and exerts biological effects by binding to specific receptors. PlGF is not only a pregnancy-specific biomarker, it is also expressed in the heart, lung, thyroid, adipose tissue, and skeletal muscle, and its absence suppresses tumor growth and angiogenesis and arteriogenesis during heart, limb, and eye ischemia .

Principle

Detection Technique: MSD Hypersensitive Multi-Factor Electrochemiluminescence
