Analysis of Total Antioxidant Capacity (T-AOC) by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1390-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.049 mmol/L
Detection range: 0.049-2.5 mmol/L
Precision: inter-lot difference of 8.1%, intra-lot difference of 3.9%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 590-600 nm

Principle

Under acidic conditions, antioxidant substances can reduce Fe3+-TPTZ to produce blue Fe2+-TPTZ. The total antioxidant capacity in samples can be calculated by measuring absorbance at 593 nm.

Applications

It is suitable for the detection of total antioxidant capacity in serum (plasma), saliva, urine, animal and plant tissues, cells (or cell supernatant).

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum (plasma), saliva, urine, animal and plant tissues, cells (or cell supernatant)
