Analysis of Total Cholesterol (TC) by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1375-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.29 mmol/L
Detection range: 0.29-25.85 mmol/L
Precision: inter-lot difference of 8.300000000000001%, intra-lot difference of 3.1%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 495-525 nm

Principle

Total Cholesterol (TC) includes free cholesterol and cholesterol esters. cholesterol ester can be hydrolyzed by cholesterol esterase (CE) into cholesterol and free fatty acid, and cholesterol was oxidized by cholesterol oxidase (CO) to produce 4-cholestenone and hydrogen peroxide. When hydrogen peroxide is present in 4-amino-antipyrine and phenol, it is catalyzed by oxidase (POD) to generate red quinone compound benzoquinimide phenazone. The color depth is proportional to the content of TC.

Applications

It is suitable for the determination of total cholesterol content in serum (plasma) and tissue.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum (plasma) and tissue
