Analysis of Free Cholesterol (FC) by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1414-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.07 mmol/L
Detection range: 0.07-24 mmol/L
Precision: inter-lot difference of 5.2%, intra-lot difference of 5.2%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 495-525 nm

Principle

Free Cholesterol (FC) was oxidized by Cholesterol oxidase (CO) to produce 4-cholestenone and hydrogen peroxide. In the presence of 4-amino-antipyrine and phenol, hydrogen peroxide is catalyzed by oxidase to produce red quinone compounds of benzoquinimide phenazone, the color of which is proportional to the content of free cholesterol.

Applications

For the determination of free cholesterol in serum, plasma and animal tissue samples.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum, plasma and animal tissue samples
