Analysis of Glutathione-S-Transferase (GST) by Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometer (CAT#: STEM-MB-1348-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 1 U/L
Detection range: 1-79 U/L
Precision: inter-lot difference of 4.3%, intra-lot difference of 1.9%
Detection equipment: Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometer
Detection wavelength: 340 nm

Principle

Glutathione S-transferase (GST) can catalyze the binding of reduced glutathione (GSH) to dinitrobenzene (CDNB substrate), and the conjugated product has an absorption peak at 340 nm. GST activity can be calculated by measuring the absorbance rise rate at 340 nm wavelength.

Applications

It is used to detect the activity of GST in serum (plasma), animal and plant tissues and cells.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum (plasma), animal and plant tissues and cells
