Analysis of Hydroxyl Free Radical Scavenging Capacity by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1437-LGZ)

Introduction

Precision: inter-lot difference of 4.6%, intra-lot difference of 4.1%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 500-530 nm

Principle

H2O2/Fe2+ produces hydroxyl free radicals through Fenton reaction, and salicylic acid can effectively capture the hydroxyl free radicals generated and react with them to produce colored substances, 2, 3-dihydroxybenzoic acid, which has a characteristic absorption peak at 510 nm. After the addition of substances with scavenging ability, colored substances are reduced. According to the value of absorption value, the ability of scavenging hydroxyl radical of the sample was determined.

Applications

It is used to detect the scavenging ability of hydroxyl radical in tissue samples and serum (plasma) and other liquid samples.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: tissue samples and serum (plasma) and other liquid samples
